About this guide
Why this guide exists
Machinery finance is full of jargon: balloons, chattel mortgages, residuals, comparison rates. People who run excavators and tractors for a living should not need to decode it before they can ask good questions. This site is our attempt at a field guide: plain English, practical, and honest about what it does not know.
What we do
We publish general information about financing earthmoving, construction and farm machinery, and field notes on topics such as seasonal cash flow, tax basics and selling the machine you are replacing.
What we do not do
- We do not lend money, broker finance or give financial, credit, tax or legal advice.
- We do not guarantee any outcome, rate or approval.
- We do not take your personal circumstances into account in anything we publish.
Where finance enquiries go
If you want to ask about finance, our contact page points you to a separate finance service where you can start an enquiry. For selling a machine, see our sell page.
